1-The New World Order
The Maghreb, like the rest of the world suffers the influence of a unipolar world order led by "the empire" American. This new world order accelerates the concentration of wealth, generates wars, exclusions economic, social and cultural, destroys the environment, restricts the rights and freedoms of individuals and groups, while constituting a ground on which thrive folds identity and retrograde.

2. Towards a Maghreb Peoples

The social movements of the Maghreb, on the basis of these principles and civic values, democratic and universal, are an integral part of the movement born just across the planet, expressing the will of peoples to build another world. The impetus since 2004, when Social Forum Morocco, and crowned by the Preparatory Assembly held at Bouznika in 2006 for the construction of the Maghreb Social Forum, is based on historical, political, cultural, linguistic make the building of the Maghreb peoples in the era of globalization and the construction of regional groupings not only a necessity, but a challenge and an imperative of the hour. Participants in the Maghreb Assembly held on the sidelines of the 1st Maghreb Social Forum 25 - 26 and July 27 in El Jadida,

c) Affirm their commitment to build:

- A region of democratic citizen and peoples of the region and to identify ways and means of achieving a Maghreb of peace, democracy, solidarity and shared prosperity,
- A Maghreb proud and protective of its cultural diversity,
- A Maghreb respectful of women's rights to equality,
- A Maghreb, which promotes grass-roots organizations of citizens and allows their participation in the management of public affairs with dignity and equality,
- A Maghreb guaranteeing the rights of young people and their legitimate aspirations for a better future,
- A Maghreb respectful of its surroundings and enjoying its riches
- A Maghreb protector of the rights of children and people in difficult circumstances or vulnerable,
- A Maghreb respectful of workers and trade union rights,
- A Maghreb fundamentally rooted and rooted in Africa and in solidarity with movements for peace, social justice, democracy in the world,
- A Maghreb fully engaged in the struggle of social movements alter-globalists for a better world and another world is possible.

3-field of fight and convergence

The Maghreb Social Forum, privileged space of convergence of social movements, associations, unions, movements and pacifist movements citizens, debates on issues related to the major challenges facing the region, will be one of the locations of joints struggles for:

• The defence and promotion of political rights, economic, social and cultural individual and collective freedoms,
• The defence of human rights of women and promoting a culture of equality,
• The exercise of democracy and citizenship, the separation of powers and guaranteeing the independence of the judiciary,
• The separation of politics and religion,
• The participation of citizens in defining the content of economic reforms, social, cultural and political
• The transparent management and protection of public property against the squandering
• The fight against impunity for human rights violations and economic crimes,
• The access of citizens to quality public services,
• The right to health, housing, education, training and access to information,
• The emergence of a North African education system, promoting scientific research common with the means necessary to its development and a fair valuation skills Maghreb, to fight against the brain drain,
• The opening of borders and the right to free movement of persons in space Maghreb,
