Social accountability is today one of the major challenges for the promotion of social development, democratic and equitable. Through a partnership with the background of civil society of the World Bank, the municipality of Dar Bouazza was chosen as the site for the introduction and development of the concept of social accountability.
The SCORE project, implemented by CARE Morocco, aims to strengthen the capacity of local actors, particularly youth and women, to become autonomous citizens and responsible, able to put in place a mechanism of social accountability at Community level, allowing them to empower local actors on some key issues, including the provision of basic social services.
In giving voice to citizens, the media are one of the actors and one of the pillars of social accountability. They contribute to the flow of information and the improvement of transparency.

CARE International Morocco (CIM) is an NGO development aid, Moroccan, non denominational, non-political right, part of the CARE International network. CIM intervenes at the Morocco since September 2007, in the sectors of water and sanitation, education and the strengthening of civil society.
