Why this is important?
The UN has recently stated that internet access and freedom of expression through the internet is a basic human right. The bogus charges Nabeel Rajab is detained upon all relate to free expression of his personal opinions through a tweet on the internet! This isn’t a criminality or a disrespect to disagree with others who are in positions of power. This is a free expression of one’s personal opinion and is a fundamental Human Right as stated by the UN! The AlKhalifa regime has started a policy of targeting the political opposition intelligentsia in Bahrain, Abdulhadi Alkhawaja and Ebrahim Sharif and many others are imprisoned on false charges, Ali Salman is shot, Zainab AlKhawaja is shot, and Nabeel Rajab is imprisoned on false charges. The pattern is clear, the Alkhalifas are attempting to silence their opposition by these attacks upon political dissidents. Nabeel Rajab and the AlKhawajas are World renowned champions of the cause of Human Rights. To attack their freedom is to attack the freedoms of all people, we must not tolerate the AlKhalifas attacking all Human Being’s rights!
